About Us
Hamiltons Football Academy is the brainchild of Gordon Igesund and Bryn Ressell. The duo first discussed the idea of establishing a football academy in early 2017 and this finally came to fruition in July 2018 with the formation of the Hamiltons Football Academy SA None Profit Company.
The founding principles are designed to utilize the power of sport and work towards creating a safe environment where young boys and girls are forwarded the opportunity to develop essential life skills while showcasing and harnessing their sporting talent.
At Hamiltons Football Academy our players will travel on a stimulating journey through a detailed football programme. One designed to create an environment and culture that will challenge, inspire and encourage the ambitions of aspiring young footballers.
Hamiltons Football Academy develops the players around The Four Corner Model which consist of four key components, Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological development. This model encourages us to look at the player as a whole and ensure we are creating opportunities for them to be successful in life and football.
Our coaching, conditioning and video analysis will allow our staff to regularly provide clear and accurate feedback on all the elements associated to the players development and performance. While our education programme with the use of qualified professionals, supplements traditional classroom learning by providing a safe, holistic learning experience.
Hamiltons will strive to continuously develop and enhance our football programme via regular tours, tournaments and partnerships with football clubs abroad. This to ensure we are continually exposed to different ideas/concepts that are impacting world football and stay up to date with the latest technological advancements, rules and regulations.

The focus of Hamiltons Football Academy places significant emphasis on Academic Schooling of athletes while they pursue their sports career.
With these development structures in place we will enable these players to have increased access to opportunities.
Football Philosophy
Hamiltons Football Academy will aim to play attractive, attacking football throughout the Academy. All age groups will develop a style of play that is always based on possession of the ball and our teams will try to play from the back and through the thirds.
Developing players in a style that makes them competent in managing the ball under pressure. Our aim is to produce players that can compete at the highest level.
At all times our teams will play from the backand through the thirds, developing players in a style that makes them competent in managing the ball under pressure.
Defensively the teams will learn how to press effectively to win the ball back early and have the understanding of how to defend through each third of the pitch with individuals being competent defending in 1v1 situations relevant to their position.
